Policies and Procedures

We strongly believe that your time is valuable, as is ours, and we make every attempt to be ready for your appointment at the scheduled time. In our commitment to provide you with an exceptional experience and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies.

Payment and Gift Certificate Policy: Payment for all services is due in full at the end of your appointment.  Payment may be made in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Any returned checks for insufficient funds will incur a $30 processing fee. If you change the scope of service once you arrive, resulting in a lesser service than originally scheduled, you may be charged for the original amount. (i.e. Schedule a Manicure, Hair color and massage, but then only wish to receive a massage). Please let your therapist know if you are using a gift certificate for payment at the time you schedule your service.  If you are redeeming a gift certificate, you must bring the gift certificate with you to your appointment and surrender at the beginning of your service – No Exceptions.  Gift certificates cannot be used for alternate services, divided into multiple visits or transferred to other parties.  Gift certificates will not be replaced if lost or stolen and have no cash value.  All gift certificates must be redeemed by expiration date.

 

Parking: Parking is available in front of our bay doors or on the front side of the building.  Please do not park in front of our neighbors bay doors or entrance doors.  We must leave enough room for their customers and staff.

 

Arrival Time for your Service:  Please arrive a few minutes early prior to your appointment time. This allows you time to fill out the appropriate client form (new clients), update any personal information and use restroom facilities.

 

Late Arrival/Cancellation Policy and Fees: Your service times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the office scheduling policies.

  • If you need to reschedule or cancel a scheduled appointment, please provide 24-hours advance notice.
  • Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
  • NO SHOWS will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
  • Cancelling of an appointment in less than 24 hours or failure to attend a scheduled appointment with the intent on redeeming a gift certificate will result in the forfeiting of that certificate.
  • Payment for missed appointments is due before your next scheduled appointment.
  • Illness and emergencies will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you need to cancel an appointment due to illness or emergency, please call to avoid being charged a no-show fee.

 

Late Arrivals:  If you are running late, please contact us to let us know. If late arrival is inevitable, your session may be shortened in order to keep on schedule and the original price of service will be charged. Once you are 15 minutes late, if you have not called, you have missed your appointment and will be responsible for the amount of the service. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services.

 

Sickness Policy: Please be courteous and reschedule any appointments you may have if you are unwell.  Massage/bodywork is not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition.  If it is within the 24-hour notice period, the cancellation fee may be waived.

 

Scope of Practice and Client Agreement: Massage Therapist do not diagnose illness, disease or any other physical or mental disorder. As such, our massage therapists do not prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals nor is any spinal adjustment performed. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical attention, and it is essential that all health information provided be true and correct. If you omit anything that leads to negative results, it is your responsibility and not that of the massage therapist. Our massage therapist will only use those techniques within their scope of practice which they deem appropriate for your treatment. Massage therapy is therapeutic and therefore strictly non-sexual.  If you behave inappropriately during your session, our massage therapists have the right to end the massage, and you will be charged the full amount for the appointment. Criminal charges may be pressed depending on the severity of the behavior.

 

Other Considerations:  As a courtesy to our staff, therapists and other clients who may have allergies, please refrain from wearing perfume, scented lotions, body sprays or other similar products, especially those with artificial fragrances.  If you are a smoker, please refrain from smoking immediately before your session. While we all love our kiddos, please do not leave children unattended in the lobby.  We would hate for them to venture out in the parking lot or get hurt. Please silence your cell phone during your session, unless we have discussed leaving it on for specific reasons.
